General Mills Supports Bruce Jenner … “No Comment” On Caitlyn Jenner. General Mills does the marketing for the popular cereal brand Wheaties. Bruce Jenner was on the Wheaties Box in the 1970’s; back when he won the Olympic Gold Medal. Bruce has been very vocal about wanting to become a woman. Well of course he broke the internet with his Vanity Fair photo shoot. He has completed his transformation and is now a full fledged woman that goes by the name Caitlyn. He even managed to upstage Kim Kardashian’s pregnancy announcement.(She and Kanye are expecting baby number 2). You can see a very shapely Caitlyn dressed provocatively in the Vanity Fair spread; by his choice of hair and make up it looks like he longed to be a Kardashian woman. As you know, Bruce’s image was an iconic box cover for the cereal in 1977 … one year after he won gold at the Olympics.
We contacted General Mills Monday and asked about their reaction to the new photos, and they told us, “Bruce Jenner continues to be a respected member of Team Wheaties.”We followed up by asking if they acknowledge the presence of Caitlyn and the response was short and to the point: “We stand by our statement.”
Do you think General Mills is being professional or insensitive?
Bruce’s courage is admirable; but lets address the elephant in the room . His daughter has been dating this older man for a while now. I don’t believe they just started going together like they claim. What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments.
